You can read "Competence at Work" by Spencer & Spencer. This is probably the best book on competency mapping and is used by major consultancies to implement the competency model.

There are a few good books on competency mapping. I suggest you refer to "Competency Mapping Guide" by Ganesh Shermon. Alternatively, you can also look into Spencer & Spencer. The former is more useful!

My company has about 100 employees (70 in sales, including Sales Head, Commercial Head, Accounts Head, MD, and other staff of 30). How can we conduct competency mapping for the sales, commercial, and accounts teams, as these are the most crucial teams? What should be the procedure and which questionnaires should we use? If you have any questionnaire formats for surveys, please send them. Also, guide me on my query.
