Hi, I would just like to ask if employee under "no work no pay" policy is entitled for holiday pay? Your response on this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks, pegge evelyn

Hi,
In the Philippine setting, there were ways of determining when and how to pay holiday credits. If you are a daily-paid employee, then if you did not report for work on a "special holiday," you will not receive holiday pay, which is 30%. If it is a "Legal Holiday," then if you go to work the day before the holiday, you are entitled to an 8-hour pay or 100%.
However, if you are a monthly-paid employee, then if you work on a Special holiday, you will receive 30%, and if you did not work, you will still receive 100%. It is like saying you will not be marked as absent. If it is a legal holiday, then if you work on that specific date, you receive an additional 100%. If you did not work, you will not be marked as absent.
Thank you.
