It is mentioned as 10% of CTC (max) for tax exemption in the article but the cap is only 10% of basic+DA for tax saving.

Thru employer or ECS mode. The component opted for NPS will be deposited by the employer with the selected NPS managers, on your behalf. Pon

I have one query regarding the employer's share of NPS, which is 10% of Basic+DA. Is this supposed to be over and above the gross salary of the employee, or can it be a contribution made from the employee's gross but paid as an employer contribution through the employer? There is a lot of confusion around this in my company.
