Wearing a business suit enhances one's image, whether we like it or not. Most of us would not like to attend training programs conducted by trainers who are not dressed appropriately. First impressions do count, and at first glance, if we do not find the trainer impressive, his training may not create an impact despite having strong content.

Hi Rajiv,

Thank you for a well-written article. Your example of Gandhiji is very appropriate for the topic. One thing came to my mind: if you are influenced by Gandhiji, why have you given the subject as "Gandhi would have failed as a Trainer"? As a trainer, I agree with you that clothes create an impression, but no one can be of Gandhiji's stature and conviction to emulate him.

Cheers!!! Bhaskaran
