Hi, I would like to request people to help guide me on how to prepare an HR Scorecard and also define its significance. It's only been 2 months since I joined this company, and they have assigned me this task. I am a fresher. Please help, as I have to provide this next week.

Dear Sneha,

Please click on the links in the sidebar, and you may find some answers. For example, I clicked on the second one from the top, and that led me to https://www.citehr.com/31612-hr-scorecard.html.

Have a nice day.

Hi Simhan,

Thanks for replying! But it seems to be more confusing after reading so many uploads on the HR Scorecard.

Also, if you could help me understand the difference between an HR Scorecard, a Dashboard, and a Balanced Scorecard, it would be great.

Dear Sneha,

I do not know whether you drive a car or not. Just like a car has a dashboard, or more appropriately, an aircraft cockpit has a dashboard displaying various parameters (height, speed, time, etc.). Please see the [aircraft dashboard - Google Search](http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=aircraft+dashboard&hl=en& biw=884&bih=459&prmd=ivns& tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&amp ;sa=X&ei=KdAVTqm6Aoy0hAe8i8k8&ved= 0CDcQsAQ). Every organization can keep tabs on its performance using various measures.

A Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is a device that lists all the key factors important for the success of an organization, grouped into 4 categories. Please see links in the sidebar.

An HR scorecard is a Balanced Scorecard prepared for the HR Department, rather than for the whole organization. Individuals can also prepare Personal BSCs. Please see [Personal Balanced Scorecard - Rampersad, Hubert K - TATA MCGRAW-HILL](http://indiabookmart.com) <link updated to site home>.

Kind regards,

Hi,

It seems to be a useful discussion. Can you please elaborate on the differences with examples so that it can make practical sense too? It's related to HRD, so I want to know more in detail.

Dear Yashoda,

Please read the links provided, then post your understanding, and then ask whether you are on the right lines. That way we all learn more. I know that working people have time constraints as opposed to a retired person.

Have a nice day.
