HRA is governed by I.T.rules and applicable to all states and all type of organisations. In Rajasthan, it is 40% of basic as no city is falling under metro status. pon

HRA is depending upon companies policy. If your company not giving HRA even then no issue you can claim deduction U/s 80GG.

I have another related problem.
One of our employee was not paid any salary for 5 months on account of sanctioned leave last year. For the remaining 7 months of year, he wants to claim HRA benefit under sec. 10(13A), but for the first 5 months when he got no salary, he wants to claim benefit under Sec 80GG. Can that be allowed?
