In 15 days, we've added 100 members. That's not bad considering we have hardly advertised except in some groups.

A very hearty cheers to all our members, and here's hoping we'll continue to grow at this rapid pace and soon become the best HR group around. Thanks a ton to all the members who helped out others with their queries and also to those who contributed by asking relevant questions, which have added to the knowledge base of the forum or by sharing interesting articles with us.

Cheers! CiteHR Team

I have no doubt this forum will grow to be one of the best. The excellent layout, content segregation, and professional approach are very visible. This is what we needed in the clutter of "me too" forums and groups.

Best wishes, Srinivasan

This forum will definitely be one of the best forums for the HR community. Good work, keep it up folks.

My heartfelt congratulations to the entire Cite team and the members of this forum. I also would like to congratulate the person who came up with this idea  and the entire team for their efforts.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND A GREAT YEAR.

Hi Nalini,

Thanks for the good wishes. This post is about a year old. Now we have over 2000 members from all over the world :)

This website was primarily started as a resource center for human resource professionals. A place where everyone could meet and share their thoughts and help each other out. Throughout the year, we have seen this happening, and our community is growing stronger and better every month with loads of information available at your fingertips.

Hoping this will continue, and we'll have many more members coming in with their thoughts and posts.

Warm regards,

Hi, congratulations CHR! I guess you deserve most of the credit (most, not all ), and the rest goes to the other wonderful contributors. But seriously, you've made us all come together from different parts of the world, and this site is just perfect. Before, I used to start checking my mail account and then open citehr. Now, I'm so tuned to this that I've made it my homepage. The site just rocks. I'm sure it will create new benchmarks. All the best! :icon1:

Always wanted to ask you, what made you start this, and when do you get the time to answer all the posts? I don't even get the time to view them. Do you sleep at night? :icon6:

Hi Sunayna,

Thanks for the compliment, and yes, you are right – a very large part of the credit goes to the very knowledgeable contributors on the site.

This is mainly done through a few marketing campaigns now. Initially, I made some members join by posting on Yahoo groups and the like [I found them inconvenient with all the spam emails].

:icon1: Glad to know that. Though it's not an official announcement, I am trying to figure out a way to provide email accounts from the website. However, we need thousands more members to be able to afford such development.

As you know, I have *not* studied human resources, but I am rather gifted with research assignments and web development. I work for a software design firm and handle the HR issues in our small company. CiteHR started when I was given a research assignment to find alternatives to balanced scorecard and do a parallel research on some human resource software. I was interested and started this website as a place where I could learn about human resources [couldn't afford to go for an MBA... not because of money but just a general fear of educational institutes :icon2:]. Soon, I realized that there was no way people are going to join and help out some of the new members [as often I was incapable or did not have the time to do the research and post answers to queries] unless I give them something in return. So, I decided to let them promote their consultancy services in return for their contribution in helping other members. One thing led to another, and I ended up spending a lot of time on the development of CiteHR, search engine optimization, and the marketing of the website.

Well, these days, I don't get the time to post answers to queries. Most of the time devoted to CiteHR goes into general moderation/administration of the website, checking marketing campaigns, and answering emails from members who have problems. Most of the answering is done by some of the elite members on the board [as you may have noticed], who are much more capable of helping people out with human resource matters as they have firsthand experience.

Yes, I do sleep at night; I'm usually in bed by twelve, or my girlfriend would kill me over the phone. But I have spent quite a few sleepless nights working on the website [as I have a day job].

Hope I've answered all the questions :icon1:

Warm regards,

CHR

This forum has been really good in the way it has been managed, with the contents being segregated, and above all, having a wonderful team ever ready to share information. The forum also takes care of non-HR issues, and the Humour section provides a break from the monotony. I think I'm addicted to this forum. :D

My congratulations to the Cite HR team for bringing out such a wonderful discussion forum.

My sincere wish is that this forum becomes a panacea for all HR issues.

Hi CHR, everyone has done all their wishes and has said good things about CiteHR. So, I'm thinking about what more to say in this. It's truly a good forum for professionals, students, and researchers to learn many things and to help answer others as well. Maybe instead of just providing email IDs, why not prepare and circulate a newsletter? This could provide the latest information and a wider variety of articles. Many societies are already trying to do this. So, it could potentially be developed into a more knowledge-sharing portal. Alright, see you. Have a nice time.

Hi CHR,

Glad to know that. Though it's not an official announcement, I am trying to figure out a way to provide email accounts from the website.

Oh, that would be super cool. And don't worry about the members at all; give it one more year, and people are gonna pour in.

As you know, I have not studied human resources.

Woah, I had no clue about it at all. I'm sure this has come as a shock to everyone who didn't know.

I was interested and started this website as a place where I could learn about human resources. I couldn't afford to go for an MBA, not because of money but just a general fear of educational institutes.

Hey, why is this? I'm planning for a Master's in HR; I don't think it's tough. Well, whether you have a degree or not, this site rocks.
