Please let me know if Professional Tax is applicable in Jharkhand State. As we have been contributing towards Labour Welfare Fund in Maharashtra, is this applicable in Jharkhand.

1 Persons whose income exceeds three lakh rupees per annum but does not exceed five lakh rupees per annum. 1200
2 Persons whose income exceeds five lakh rupees per annum but does not exceed eight lakh rupees per annum. 1800
3 Persons whose income exceeds eight lakh rupees per annum but does not exceed ten lakh rupees per annum. 2100
4 Persons whose income exceeds ten lakh rupees and above per annum. 2500

Please let me know if we want to deduct Professional Tax (PT) for Jharkhand on a monthly basis.
For example, for persons whose income exceeds three lakh rupees per annum but does not exceed five lakh rupees per annum, the deduction is 1200.
Monthly deduction would be: 1200/12 = 100
