Below is the role for Managers,hopes it helps.

Manager’s or Head of Departments Responsibility for Pre-Training Session

Pre - To assist employees to prepare themselves for training before starting a training program, their manager will conduct a pre-program briefing. Issues to be discussed with the employee include:

Ø Setting their departmental & individual objectives.
Ø What they can expect to gain from the programs by reviewing the program’s objectives.
Ø How the program can assist them with the current performance.

Post - Manager’s /Head of Department Responsibility for Post Training briefing

Managers need to debrief their employees as soon as possible after training to assist transfer of learning back into the workplace. Issues to be discussed with the employee include:

Ø The skills and knowledge gained.
Ø How the skills and knowledge can be applied to their:
a. Current Job Performance.
b. Career Development Objectives.
Ø Changes they intend to make as a result of the program ensuring their goals are realistic.
Ø Events or issues which may inhibit them from making these changes.
Ø The support they need to assist them to make changes.

Please also note that the requirement to achieve the four level of evaluation (reactional, learning, behavioural, result) procedures after the training.

I thought you might be and it was for an assignment. I suggest that you search the web and read scholarly articles in addition to seeking info here. Academic assignments need to be sound with citations and proof of whether methods work or not. Relying on hearsay at CiteHr will not be enough.
