Hi,
My friend worked for Satyam Computer Services from February 2004 to May 2006. After that, she absconded from the company. Now, she is trying to contact the HR department of Satyam Computer Services, but she is unable to reach them. Can she submit her withdrawal form for PF by herself? If yes, what is the procedure?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Jaya,
In case she is working with a new employer, the formality needs to be done at their end. If she wants to withdraw PF, she should fill out Form 13. If she wants to transfer PF, she needs to fill out Form 19. She should choose one of these forms and submit it to her current employer; they will take it forward from there.

Dear Shveta,
There is one mistake on your end regarding the withdrawal of PF. Form no. 19 must be submitted to the previous employer, and if she wants to transfer her PF, form no. 13 must be submitted to the current employer.

PF amounts can be withdrawn without submitting the required forms, i.e., Form 19 (for EPF) and Form 10 C (for the Pension Fund), to the previous employer, i.e., Satyam Computer Services. You can send these forms directly to the EPF Office where your PF accounts are maintained after getting your signatures on the forms attested by the Manager of the Bank to which the amounts are to be credited or by other persons authorized in this regard, such as a Government Gazetted Officer, MP/MLA, etc.

Dear Jaya,
Ask your friend to fill the PF withdrawal form and get it signed by her employer. If they refuse to sign, then please get it signed by a gazetted officer or bank banker and submit it to the concerned PF office. They will clear the amount to your bank (you have to provide the current bank account number to the PF office). This is for your kind information.
