Hi Friends,

I would like to know the bifurcation of leaves that are provided to an employee in a Sugar Industry. That is, how many CL's, SL's, and EL's are given for a year. Friends working in the Sugar Industry would be ideal to help me out. Your help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Julie

Dear Julie,

For seasonal workmen:

1. Casual leave - calculated at the rate of half a day for every month of the crushing season during which the workmen are on the roll. A period exceeding 15 days in any month shall be counted as a full month for leave purposes.

2. Sickness leave - calculated at the rate of half a day for every month of the crushing season during which the workmen are on the roll. A period exceeding 15 days in any month shall be counted as a full month for leave purposes.

3. Earned Leave - one day for every 20 days of actual working.

Note: Seasonal workmen required to work in the off-season shall be allowed proportionate benefits of sickness and casual leave for the period of their employment during the off-season to the same extent as admissible to them in the crushing season.

For permanent workmen: Casual leave - six (6) days in a year, Ten (10) days in a year, Earned Leave - one day for every 20 days of actual working.

Hope this meets your requirements.
