Hi guys, I have a 3-month notice period with my employer. While signing the bond with my company, I didn't see any mention of a 3-month notice period or gross salary for that period. Now, I want to quit with a 1-month notice to my company. However, all my friends say that the notice period amount will be based on the basic salary and not the gross salary. I am willing to pay the basic salary instead of my service, but I would like to clarify whether it is compulsory for me to pay 3 months' gross salary. Can I negotiate or is there any labor law that states I should only go with basic salary payment despite signing the bond?
