Hi friends,
I am Annu. I am looking forward to going for SAP Certification, but it is too costly. Actually, my present company is not using SAP tools, but I am looking to further my career in software companies. I have a BCA as my graduation. Can anyone tell me about affordable certification options that are worthwhile?

Hi all,
If you want to take up the SAP HR training, the question is: from where? If you are looking for certification and placements, then you need to do it in authorized centers. Obviously, it's costly there because it's a proprietary course, and the career prospects are fantastic. There is something called online training that costs up to Rs. 163,000. The same course available on Instructor-led training costs Rs. 2,80,000. If you do the SAP HR from an unauthorized academy, the cost is sometimes not even 10,000 (but I am really not sure how far you will get the placements). Only two academies are authorized apart from SAP Labs, according to my knowledge.

I have a contact who is very experienced in SAP at the senior level. If I were to create an online course with pre-recorded lectures, discussion boards, and live interactive chat, would people be interested? I would have a rather large upfront investment, but if there is a demand for this type of course and commitment, I would be willing to start the development. The typical cost for an online short course of this nature would be between $1000 and $1500. The course would have several recorded lectures, 8-12 discussion threads, 4 live 1-1 1/2 hour chats, and run for a total of 4 weeks. Please give me feedback.

Hey Annu and everybody,
SAP is so cheap. If you want to learn SAP HR functions, modules, then use the IDES version and visit Ameerpet area in Hyderabad. Take a copy of the IDES version (IDES version is a sample of SAP), then you will learn automatically. After that, call me or send me an email, then we will proceed.
Thanks!

Hi simple_log,
Please let me know about any contact details of a store that sells IDES version DVDs or CDs for installation. I want to get them at the earliest.
There is a way to install IDES R/3 in less than a couple of hours; it's known as Ghost Installation. Please let me know if anyone has information about it.
Thanks,
Manish

Dear Friends,
I would not advise wasting your money on SAP certification at the initial stage. Instead, consider undergoing SAP training from local institutes that provide placements and working in the field for 2 to 3 years. Even with certification, finding a job is challenging due to the current market conditions, especially for freshers. Please think carefully before investing your hard-earned money.
Thank you.

Dear Pavithra,
SAP Certification will cost you Rs. 2.5 Lakhs approximately. There are only two licensed partners, Siemens and Genovate. If you have very good academics and experience, then also in initial days you might have to struggle as doing certification in itself is not sufficient, as most of the companies ask for experienced individuals, and no one is ready to pick up freshers. If you want to verify this, then open any job portal like naukri.com, monster.com, jobsahead, timesjob, etc., and you will realize that since the last few months, there have been no openings for freshers. It seems the market is saturated now.
For further details or any specific queries, you can email me at accountanths@gmail.com.

Hello everyone,
Can anyone please suggest if it is worth spending 3 lakhs to get SAP certification from Siemens? I have enquired from other institutes which are providing this training for only Rs 15,000, but they say that the certificate would be from NASSCOM. I am really not able to decide whether I should go for the expensive one or the cheaper one. What would be the benefits if I go for the expensive one from Siemens? Please help me, friends.

Dear Annu,
Certifications in SAP are provided only by authorized partners of SAP, which are Siemens and Genovate. Even if you go for certification, you wouldn't be getting a job in SAP in India as the demand is only for experience.
Get training in the module you are interested in, work for 2 years, and then you can appear for the certification exam at a cost of 25k-30k. The training would cost you (without certification) about 20,000 rs - 50,000 rs, depending on the institute.
If you get training from an institute that charges 10,000 Rs, believe me, the trainers wouldn't be real-time trainers. If you require any further information, you can contact me as I am an SAP Consultant myself.

I am working as a software engineer for around the last 5 years (as a developer for the last 3 years). However, I work in the telecom domain. Now, I want to move to SAP, but our company doesn't work in SAP. I also have no prior knowledge of it. That's why I am taking a course in ABAP from a local institute. The course is in the introductory phase. After reading some articles and news, I have become skeptical about getting a job in SAP. Even if I get one, would they treat me as a fresher in SAP? Do I have to compromise with my current salary structure? Can you please tell me how tough it would be to work in SAP from another domain? How much time will it take to grasp real-world implementation/projects? I am very interested in knowing more. Would it be a wise decision to move to SAP in the current scenario? I believe you have vast knowledge as you are working as a consultant. Please suggest something.

Hello Ritu/others,
I have been working as a software engineer for the last 5 years (as a developer for the past 3 years), primarily in the telecom domain. Now, I am interested in transitioning to SAP. However, our company does not operate in SAP, and I have no prior experience in it. To bridge this gap, I am currently enrolled in an introductory ABAP course at a local institute.
After reading some articles and news, I have started to have doubts about securing a job in SAP. If I do manage to secure one, would I be considered a fresher in SAP? Would I need to compromise on my current salary structure? Could you also shed some light on the challenges of transitioning to SAP from a different domain? How long would it take to grasp real-world implementations/projects in SAP?
I am eager to learn more about this transition. Do you think it would be a wise decision to move to SAP in the current scenario? I believe you have extensive knowledge as you work as a consultant. I would greatly appreciate your insights and suggestions.
Thank you.

Hi there,
Can you please tell me the exact address where I can get the SAP IDES material? Also, could you tell me where I can find SAP path-by-path guidance study materials so that it will be easy to practice without the help of anyone else? I heard that in Hyderabad, we can find these kinds of books. Please reply.
On another note, why is SAP certification so costly? A shoutout to Annu and everybody, SAP is so cheap. Dear Annu,
Every new craze is costly; like computers, when invented, were not within reach even for well-to-do persons, and now they are quite cheap. Similarly, if we look at the rates of mobile phone calls when introduced in India, they were Rs. 16.00 and Rs. 8.00 per minute for incoming and outgoing calls respectively, and now you can see the rates have drastically decreased with free unlimited incoming calls.
Likewise, the cost of SAP will also decrease significantly when the SAP inventors are able to garner huge registrations of trainees and fill up their coffers to the edge.
Certainly, the value of individuals getting training now will be much higher than those managers who have not learned SAP. Additionally, there will be no additional value for a person learning at a later date when it becomes a compulsory subject for every management stream. Furthermore, the old managers without SAP qualification may become redundant when well-qualified managers are inducted into the industry.
You can consider the cost, whatever it may be, as an investment for the sake of your career.
Best of luck,

Dear Deepti,
SAP Training for Rs. 15,000 with a NASSCOM Certificate is better than Rs. 3,00,000 training from Siemens. You can compare the costs of everything in India and Germany (Siemens' country), and you will understand the difference. So, it is foolish to invest 20 times with a foreign company.

Hi all!
Can anyone suggest a SAP course for initial stages or after gaining experience that would be beneficial to a candidate with good academic records throughout MBA-HR? Would it be a good career choice for a fresher, or should one wait for two years? Is online SAP training beneficial, or is training through a SAP instructor better? Does Siemens provide placement offers? Kindly suggest.

Dear All,
As Anu said, SAP is expensive, but the investment made can be earned back within 3-4 months. Let me tell you, if you do SAP with an unauthorized institute, it's injurious to your career.
There is no course for just ₹10,000; if you just want to have knowledge of SAP before investing to get a flavor of it, you can do it. However, you won't receive any certification for that.
SAP can be done in eAcademy for ₹1,20,000 + Tax.
Benefits of doing SAP through eAcademy:
1. Provides 24/7 flexible training facility.
2. Best and fastest way to gain hands-on experience in SAP.
3. Certification from SAP AG Germany.
4. SAP certification recognized worldwide.
5. Placement sessions are arranged, and job opportunities are made available for each individual.
6. Opportunities to work at over 4500 SAP customers in India and 85,000 customers worldwide.
7. SAP professionals are in high demand with multiple opportunities in India and abroad, offering high-paid jobs and fast career growth.
8. Education loans are provided for deserving candidates.

Dear friends,
SAP is globally recognized business process software used for Enterprise Resource Planning. The skills required to be an SAP professional vary according to the business functionalities (HR, MM, PP, FI, CO, etc.).
SAP is used by comparatively large companies to reduce human cost and data management cost, thus achieving a more competitive edge effectively and efficiently.
Companies with sound capital and numerous functional activities, even though SAP is costly, choose to have it installed with the long-term savings and spinoff benefits in mind. This helps them leverage minimum resources to produce maximum expected outputs. As SAP enables companies to function smoothly with minimum human resources and reach organizational goals, they can offer better salaries.
Companies are seeking the right kind of skill sets, and this guarantee comes from authorized SAP Education Partners. MNCs with SAP job vacancies look for institutions with heavy pay packages.
Training institutes need to invest a significant amount of financial resources in producing candidates for SAP careers. This includes intensive training modules, infrastructure, the right faculty (SAP consultants are to be heavily remunerated), and everything aligned with international standards, making SAP certification costly.

Hi Guys,
SAP certification used to be expensive in the past, but now it costs only Rs. 2.00 lakhs, including the certification exam cost at Unisoft, an SAP Authorized Education Partner. I have completed my SAP certification from Unisoft and am currently working in SAP. They also offer easy installments for the payment of fees. Hi Naveen.s,
I am really grateful to see the information which you have posted on the board. I struggled a lot to gain that information. Now, my question is: Is certification the only placement benefit as per your words? Are the placement costs this high? It seems too heavy.
Thank you.

Hi All,
I understand that the SAP courses are expensive; however, you will certainly land in a stable career. SAP professionals are well-paid. It's an investment you are making for your career. If you opt for shortcuts or attend pirated institutes, you will not be able to penetrate corporate companies. If you are looking for a long-term career in SAP, it's always better to take the right path. Always pursue SAP in authorized SAP institutes only.
I am hereby sending you the link to authorized SAP institutes in India: [SAP Asia Pacific Japan - Education Partners](http://www.sap.com/asia/services/education/centres/partners.epx).
Also, SAP has tied up with HDFC, which offers educational loans that you can repay in 36/48/60 EMIs.
If you need any more information about SAP, please feel free to contact me via email at mamta@aximinfotech.com.

Hi,
I'm into SAP Recruitments, and as far as my knowledge is concerned, certification should be done from a reputed institute such as SAP Labs, Genovate, Siemens, and Delphi. As mentioned earlier, there are institutes that offer training, dummy projects, and even assure placements for just 10-15k, but these are neither worth it nor reliable.
I would recommend taking training from good institutes (not those mentioned above). These can be local institutes that you can evaluate by meeting the model expert. If you find it worthwhile, complete the training program, and then you can get certified by SAP by paying the examination fee which is 25,000 and passing it. To clear the examination, you need to score 60%; scoring 59% means you have to reappear.
While Google can be a reliable guide for study material, I believe it would be cost-effective and valuable as well.
Regards,
Gauri.

Hi Annu,
First, I want to mention that it's Reliance Global Services (RGS) in Hyderabad, and it's, of course, a good institute for SAP training. The quality depends on the module you want to pursue and the duration. If you prefer studying from a different location, RGS has three branches in India (Hyderabad, Pune, and Bangalore). Additionally, there are many institutes like "Yes Technologies," "Unisoft," "Vcentric," and many more in South India for SAP training. However, it's clear that none of these institutes will provide you with a certification program.
In India, certification costs are expected to decrease soon, but you may have to wait until the year-end. If you want to pursue certification immediately, choose an e-learning program from any SAP education channel partner. Previously, Singapore offered certification without any course fee, and many people moved there to enroll and easily obtain certification. The current scenario has changed, but Dubai is still open to all. My advice is to first learn SAP from a reputable institute, gain 1-2 years of real-time experience, and then pursue certification outside India. For more details, contact rahis@live.com.

Hello there!
I think SAP Certification is very expensive because it takes quite a lot of time for education, then exams. The whole SAP system has many different modules, so you should study them all to be a good specialist, and that takes a lot of time. And of course, a SAP Specialist has a very good salary. :) I have recently passed my exam, and I can say it was worth the money I spent on it. By the way, here is the website that helped me a lot in my SAP Certification: cert-tests.com. Good luck, everyone!

Hi all,
Recently, I heard that SAP has introduced a two-week course for which they are charging 1.2 lakhs. Also, SAP has now opened direct certification training. So, all of you, please wait for a few months. We will get certification training at a lower cost. Don't worry.

Dear Folks,
My sincere advice is: don't do a SAP course in an unauthorized center. It's a total waste - you won't get placements, and it's a waste of time and money. If you really want to do it, choose an authorized center.

Hi Naveen,
You are absolutely right. Even though there are many MBA colleges in society, how many of them really provide 100% placement? I am also interested in SAP. I have a query: What is the right way to do this course, either in a regular classroom or online? Due to my job, I cannot go for a regular course. Are there any limitations to doing the course online?
Thank you.

Hi Ms. Mamta,
My name is Sunil Pujari. I want to build my career in SAP PP, but is that okay? Because no one knows when the market value of SAP software will decrease.
In the market, there are already many software options, yet they are not widely used. I want to understand if it is worth investing in an SAP course as I need to apply for an education loan for it.
Please provide your suggestions.
Thank you,
