Hi, I did prepare around 40 questions for RFPs, but unfortunately, I was told this is not what they require. They can get FAQs from anyone; they didn't have to hire me :( . They want me to prepare a model from a solution-based view. I have no idea what it is.

For example, what are the queries in HR related to a company X buying software from my company will have. I'm really confused, please guide me...

Questions related to HR in a bid can be:

1. What is your current employee strength?
2. Breakdown of employees across departments/locations/projects (however your organization functions).
3. What is your attrition rate for the last 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or last 3 years? You must be prepared to answer for any time duration up to 3 years, so keep your manpower report ready.
4. Provide sample resumes. If this is a Software company, have 2-3 sample resumes ready for various designations such as Software Developer, Senior Software Developer, Tester, Solution Architect, Project Manager, etc.
5. Your organizational chart.
6. If there are specific certifications related to your industry type, you may be asked questions like how many employees are certified. For example, in the case of Software - how many have PMP certifications.
7. Your current bench strength.

Basically, understand that in a bid, a company asks for such questions to judge the strength of the bidder in terms of ready manpower. Ensure all relevant data is ready where you can 'market your manpower'.

Hope you got an idea.

Shikha

To add on:

1. What type of employment contract do you have with your employees?
2. What are the details of your training calendar?
3. Have you conducted organizational profiling? Qualifications, age, expertise, etc.?
4. Are you able to scale up resources with immediate notice?
5. How would you rate their written and oral communication skills on a scale of 1-10?
6. What is your organizational culture?
