points u can add in ur questinnaire are:
1. no. of employees presently wrking
2. no. of employees working last year
3. no. of layoffs
4. no. of employees who left the organisation(in a particular department)
i think u shud take 2-4 organisations or a sector and evaluate impact of recession on that sector or a comparitive anaylsis can b done.
do qualitative research
