Hi! I am preparing for interviews with top MNCs. I have only one week's time. Seniors, please tell me what sort of questions are asked in McKinsey & Co. and Capgemini. Also, please advise me on how to prepare for all rounds of interviews. Any suggestions or valuable study material would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to miss out on any opportunities.
Could you also please provide insight into which company is better - McKinsey or Capgemini? I am seeking senior suggestions on this matter urgently. Your help is highly appreciated.
I am eagerly waiting for suggestions from seniors and members!

Ady

Hello,
Please let me know about the Contract Labour Act of 1970. As per the provisions of the act, if an employer engages more than 20 workers, he has to get registered with the labor authority. The same goes for the contractor. However, in our case, we have four contractors providing us with 18 workers, and they do not have a license. Additionally, we have not registered with the authority. Is this practice acceptable or not?

Hi Ady,
I have some documents related to Interview Questions, HR Strategy, and HR Planning downloaded from CiteHR. Just go through them; they may help you understand some basic abstract attitudes, fundamental questions, and how to answer difficult questions, etc.

Dear Yede,
You did not mention for which job position you have been asked to appear for an interview in both organizations. What level of position is this within their organization? Considering McKinsey is a global consulting company operating in many countries with global MNCs for their consulting services.
The area of expertise you need to exhibit in the interview depends on your previous career graph and exposure. They typically recruit people who are experts in their subject, and as a novice, showing ignorance on how to face them makes it unpredictable to forecast what guidance you are looking for.

Your reply is an indicator of your seriousness on this subject. You have not provided details of what your standing is on Corporate Strategic? Or what your level of expertise is and in which area of corporate strategy - Marketing, HR, Finance, Procurement, and many other issues. Moreover, I am not sure if they will recruit anyone from India. They have excellent minds in Corporate Strategy, especially a person who cannot guess the kind of interview he or she is going to face with McKinsey & Co is not even fit to be shortlisted for them. I know them and have had interactions; they are the ones who reject business proposals of one million US dollars if it is considered time-wasting, has no fruitful results, or requires outsourcing.
This is just to make you aware of their standards. If you cannot figure out your interview questionnaire, how can you guess where you stand?

Dear Mr. Badlu,
Facing interviews with these top companies is new for me, and this site is for sharing experiences. So, I have posted my story for those who can help and share their interview experiences with both companies.
The area is Corporate Strategy - HR. Why should I surrender without going into the battlefield? At least, I can learn many things from these top companies' interviews. It doesn't matter whether they will recruit someone from India or not.

Ady

Dear Sir,
It's not correct that every fresher will clear the interview the first time. Every time, we should learn something. It is commendable that Ady has clearly accepted that she has no experience in MNCs and wants to learn. As a senior, you should provide the main fundamentals and tactics to present oneself and crack the interview, rather than demotivating the person. All the best, Ady.
Thanks,
Sakshi

Hi Ady,
I understand your situation. It's a crossroad for you, I guess, and you have to choose one. I will not comment on which is better. I would rather suggest that you check the profile being offered and make your decision based on your interest in that type of work. No organization is good or bad. It's always your performance that will lead to success, and you will succeed only when you like the job.
If you share more details of the offer, the seniors could probably guide you better.
Best wishes!
