Can an employer force his employee to go on leave (with or without pay) or would such an action amount to unfair labour practice under the Industrial Disputes Act? Compelling an employee to take leave is unfair practice though there is no explicit provision in the fifth schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act. Regards, Madhu.T.K
